Opening up the views was essential in this family garden design

High hedging surrounded the garden blocking the beautiful views across the countryside. The hedge was lowered and relaid, a new dining terrace was created. The existing trees were thinned to allow nature to frame the views beyond. The timber from a removed Oak was used to create a table and bench within the new garden design. A large path runs alongside the house with shady planting beds. Steps lead to the upper part of the garden where a summer house and hot tub are situated.

The planting design needed to provide interest throughout the year, work with the woodland feel of the space, soften the hard landscaping yet not overshadow the views that had been created.
